This landmark development is poised to facilitate and streamline the resolution of commercial disputes arising between corporate entities in the United States and those operating across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Serving as the global arm of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), the ICDR is widely recognised as the world’s largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution services. The organisation boasts an expansive reach, assisting parties in complex international dispute resolution proceedings spanning more than one hundred countries worldwide. By anchoring its latest hub in the Irish capital, the institution aims to leverage the nation’s robust legal framework to better serve its international clientele.

A Strategic Transatlantic Bridge

The formal announcement of the forthcoming Dublin facility took place on the 17th of March 2026 at the Irish Consulate in New York. The declaration was delivered jointly by Peter Burke, the Irish Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, and Bridget McCormack, President and Chief Executive Officer of the AAA and ICDR. Through this ambitious initiative, Ireland is set to play an absolutely pivotal role in assisting multinational corporations as they navigate highly complex, cross-border commercial disagreements.

In conjunction with the establishment of the new hub, the AAA-ICDR confirmed the appointment of esteemed Irish barrister Cian P. Kelly to the AAA-ICDR Council.
