The Irish Claims Service provides general information and an introduction service. Here's how it works:

Step 1: Tell us about your situation

Complete our short online form or use the compensation information guide. It takes just a few minutes and there's no obligation. We need to understand what happened, when, and how it has affected you.

Step 2: We identify suitable professionals

Our panel reviews your submission within 48 hours. Based on the administrative information provided, we may identify one or more professionals who appear to practise in the relevant area. The panel does not make a legal assessment of the strength or merits of any potential claim.

Step 3: Connect with a professional

If we identify a suitable professional, we will provide their details and seek your permission to share your information. Any professional-client relationship and legal assessment arises only if the professional independently agrees to accept instructions and confirms that directly to you in accordance with their own terms of engagement.

We are independent

We are independent of the professionals to whom we make introductions. We do not act as your agent, adviser or representative.

No cost for introductions

The Irish Claims Service does not charge for the introduction. Legal costs, outlays and any potential liability for another party's costs depend on the circumstances and must be discussed directly with the professional before instructions are accepted.

Only professionals assess claims

Only a regulated legal professional who has reviewed the relevant facts can advise whether you may have a legally sustainable claim. General information about typical factors relevant to different types of claims is available on this website, but information alone is not legal advice.

We only transfer your information to a professional if you give permission and we have identified someone who appears to work in the relevant area. We take care of your personal data in accordance with our privacy notice.
