Panel Standards

Claimsservice.ie maintains a panel of independent regulated professionals. This page explains our selection criteria and how professionals are allocated.

Selection Criteria

We select professionals who meet all of the following criteria:

Professional Status

  • Current practising certificate or equivalent authorisation from relevant professional body
  • Compliance with applicable professional rules and regulation

Insurance & Indemnity

  • Current professional indemnity insurance (solicitors and regulated practitioners)
  • Insurance limits appropriate to the field of practice

Disciplinary History

  • Absence of serious disciplinary findings where lawful to check
  • No current suspension or strike-off

Field of Practice

  • Demonstrated experience in the relevant area of law or specialism
  • Willingness to accept new enquiries

Jurisdiction

  • Authorised to practise in relevant jurisdiction (Ireland, Northern Ireland or England/Wales as appropriate)

Accessibility

  • Capacity to respond to enquiries promptly
  • Language and accessibility requirements met where possible

Conflicts

  • No material conflicts of interest in relation to Claimsservice.ie or other panel members

Allocation

When we receive an enquiry, we identify professionals who:

  • Practise in the relevant area
  • Are available to accept new instructions
  • Meet all criteria above

We provide you with professional details and seek your permission before sharing your information. You can request alternative professionals if available, or decline the introduction.

Non-Discrimination

Professionals are not ranked or prioritised according to:

  • Payments or donations to Claimsservice.ie
  • The financial value of a potential claim
  • Historical volumes of referrals

Allocation is based on the criteria above and your stated requirements only.

Complaints

If you have concerns about a professional's conduct, you should:

  • First raise the matter with the professional directly
  • Contact the relevant professional regulatory body (Law Society, Bar Council, CCPC, etc.) if the concern is not resolved

You can contact Claimsservice.ie to report concerns about our referral process, though professional conduct complaints should be directed to the relevant regulator.
